Nursing Forum Keynote: Becoming a Nurse CIO: What I’ve Learned Along the Way

Monday, April 17 at 8:45 AM - 9:45 AM CT
South Building, Level 4 | S406 A

Ellen Pollack, MSN, RN, took a nontraditional path to become CIO of Los Angeles-based UCLA Health. She started as the director of nursing 26 years before taking an interest in project work. She oversaw EHR integration and deployment, then became the Chief Nursing Informatics Officer. In April of 2022, she was named CIO at UCLA Health Sciences. Join us to hear about Ellen's personal journey and transition from her role as a bedside nurse, then nurse informaticist, to the CIO role. She will share insights gleaned from the path she took and will inspire other nurse informaticists to step out of their comfort zones.

This session is part of the Nursing Informatics Forum agenda and requires separate registration.
