Optimizing Digital Work Environments to Advance Quality of Worklife for Nurses in Hospital Settings

Global health systems are currently challenged by significant workforce shortages evidenced by resignations, high turnover rates, and burnout which is often linked to the burden of digital work environments. This panel will examine the key features of digitally enabled work environments that advance and support Nurses to deliver quality of care and support the sustainability and quality of the health workforce. Discussion of the current research initiatives in both South Korea and the USA will be presented and discussed as a strategy to build the evidence for the role of digital infrastructure on clinician workload and its impact on the quality of work environments in health systems.
