Tuesday, April 18 at 4:15 PM - 5:15 PM CT
South Building, Level 1 | S100 C

The Sequoia Project’s Data Usability Workgroup convened over 300 workgroup members to develop and release the first version of implementation guidance that targets improvements necessary to enable semantic interoperability of health information and will build on existing work already published by other industry organizations. Semantic interoperability will improve the usability of data received by end users within their workflows. Input from all relevant stakeholders was essential in developing credible implementation guides for a specific use cases.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify the various stakeholders involved with the development of guidance and the phases that the Data Usability Workgroup established resulting in the publication of the Implementation Guide published December 2022
  • Explain the difference between written/balloted technical standards and real world implementations for advancing interoperability through governance processes
