The purpose of this study is to identify the healthcare accessibility gaps in the Cook County Health (CCH) strategic plan for 2023 and use it to compare with Healthy People 2030 and The Commonwealth Fund to understand the correlation between the local, national, and international health metrics. In addition, this study aims to evaluate CCH’s access strategies compared to national and international metrics for access improvement. This analysis will provide a single case analysis using HP30 and Commonwealth Fund metrics for county health access. Using these metrics by county healthcare systems can improve local access to healthcare, improving the U.S.’s HP30 performance and international ranking on access.
