In keeping with the focused strategy of an integrated healthcare system within the Military Health System (MHS), and using a virtual first concept on patient encounters, the goal of this presentation is to understand the current state of virtual capabilities within the MHS. In order to attain the goal of a virtual first, patient-focused environment, we need to understand and apply principles and leading-edge technologies that can support our worldwide population. How can Remote Process Automation, Remote Patient Monitoring, Virtual Care, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning be applied in the MHS to improve outcomes, patient satisfaction, and staff fulfillment?
