Velkova

Angela Velkova is Senior Director, Healthcare and Lifesciences within the Strategic Communications practice of FTI Consulting focusing on digital health and data policy in EU and EU member states. Angela examines the interplay of European and national policies impacting the diffusion of innovation in healthcare in the area of electronic health records, medical devices and health applications, as well as designs and executes public affairs and communication strategies for key stakeholders engaging in the digital health space. Before joining FTI, Angela was the Director of Communities and Strategic Relations, EMEA at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). During her time at HIMSS, Angela was entrusted the task to identify, link, and unlock synergies among stakeholders, policies, and practice for amplified community impact and the enablement of the best use of information and technology in healthcare. Angela is based in Berlin, Germany and speaks English, Italian, German, and Serbo-Croatian fluently.
