Anna Schoenbaum is the Vice President of Information Services at Penn Medicine. She oversees a broad suite of applications and digital solutions to transform the health ecosystem to improve health and achieve health equity. Dr. Schoenbaum has 30+ years in the healthcare industry. This experience includes clinical roles as a nurse in a variety of patient care settings and management roles in both nursing and information technology. Her current efforts are primarily focused on providing the strategic direction in the clinical solutions and further developing digital healthcare. Dr. Schoenbaum holds a Bachelor Science in Nursing, and Master of Science, and a Doctorate of Nurse Practice. She is board certified in informatics and is a fellow member of Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS). She also teaches at the University of Maryland School of Nursing and sits on their Nursing Informatics Advisory Board. Currently, she serves on the Maryland HIMSS Board of Directors, HIMSS Nursing Informatics Committee, and co-chairs the Nursing Innovation Committee. She has also participated on the HIMSS Innovation Committee, HIMSS Social Determinants of Health Taskforce, and Global conference planning committee.
