Ashish leads the Dina team on its mission to power the healthcare industry’s transition to virtual and in-home care. He founded the company in 2015 and remains passionate about empowering care teams with the tools they need to help people age in place. A recognized thought leader, Ashish previously served as CTO at Medicity, the market leader for vendor-neutral Health Information Exchange solutions (acquired by Aetna in 2011). Under his leadership, Medicity built a healthcare network with over 1,300 hospitals and 250,000 acute and ambulatory staff, sharing over two billion health records annually. But none of this impacted what was happening in the home. The “lightbulb moment” came following his own experience with an aging parent. Ashish found that professional caregivers regularly observed changing health conditions but lacked the digital infrastructure to share insights that could help people stay well cared for in their homes. He found this to be a common struggle with others who have managed care for senior adults. Today, Dina works with many leading health systems and health plans to extend their reach into the home to help people live their very best lives. “Dina is a personal mission with roots in my own experience with an aging parent,” Ashish said. “I truly believe we’re building a better way.
