Interim Associate Vice President of Hospital-at-Home

Candra Szymanski, MS RN joined the UMass Memorial Health Hospital at Home Program in July 2021 as the Interim Associate Vice President. She brings 40 plus years of nursing/leadership experience to this exciting new program. She completed her generic nursing education at the York Hospital School of Nursing in York, PA. Received her undergraduate degree from Worcester State University and her Master’s and Post Master’s education from the University of Massachusetts, Worcester. Prior to joining the Hospital at Home Program, she held several hospital-based leadership roles as the Associate Chief Nursing Officer for Emergency and Psychiatric Services for UMass Memorial Health and the Chief Operating Officer at Marlborough Hospital. Candra is a member of the Organization for Nursing Leaders, Emergency Nurses Association, and a Central Massachusetts American Red Cross board member. She has a passion for patient care and focused her career on supporting highly functional interdisciplinary teams to provide excellent patient focused services.
