Carsten Jacobsen studied physics at the University of Kiel in Germany. After obtaining his doctorate while working at the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing in Berlin, he spent two years working for the investment bank Dresdner Kleinworth Wasserstein in London. He then moved into IT consulting and designed various projects in the financial sector in Munich, Frankfurt and Zurich. His main focus was on exact requirements engineering and excellent project management. In 2012, he joined Berliner Public Transport company as head of the IT operations department. In addition to various infrastructure projects (e.g. outsourcing of data centers), he initiated the first cloud and AI projects here. In particular, he initiated and was responsible for the complete M365 implementation. Since 2020, Carsten Jacobsen has been working in the IT division of the Charité Universitaetsmedizin Berlin as COO-IT and is responsible for operational division management. Carsten Jacobsen was awarded the Austrian IDE Award 2019 and took 2nd place in the Digital Leader Award in Germany 2019 with a project on vehicle dispatching using artificial intelligence.
