Chad has been a nurse for nearly 30 years. Throughout his nursing career, he has worked across the continuum of care in a variety of roles. He completed his MS in Healthcare Informatics from the University of Colorado-Denver in 2016 and then went on to complete his DNP in Healthcare Informatics from Loyola University-Chicago in 2019 where he focused on usability through the lens of User-Centered Design. In 2019, he had the distinct honor of being selected as one ANI’s Emerging Leaders which he considers to be the highlight of his professional career to date. In his current role at Northwestern Medicine, his primary focus is on the creation, adaption and sustainability of HIT initiatives across the enterprise. He also serves as Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Graduate Nursing at Lewis University. Chad has been very involved with HIMSS throughout his HIT career. At the local level, he served on the Greater Illinois Chapter of HIMSS as the Student Liaison, as the Advocacy Director, and most recently as the Professional Development Director. He is currently serving his 2nd year on the HIMSS North American Nursing Informatics Community Committee and loving every minute of it.
