Vennergrund

Dave Vennergrund leads a team that sets GDIT’s strategy for data and analytics solutions that solve customer challenges in data warehousing, big data, data science, and advanced data analytics. Dave has more than twenty-five years of data analytics, data science, IT management, development and research experience. He has led dozens of mission critical data science, Big Data, AI, and data analysis projects across Federal agencies including Cloud-hosted Data Lakes for Navy, predictive analytics at EPA, HUD and DOI, AI-based improper payment prevention at IRS, USDA, CMS, VA, DFAS, and OPM. He has experience working with federal agencies with missions ranging across healthcare, intelligence missions, defense systems, financial management, human resource and talent management, transportation, safety and grants management. Dave has expertise in data analysis, predictive modeling, Big Data, Cloud Analytics (AWS, Azure, Google) and the deployment of analytic solutions. He is experienced building and managing data mining, data science, and data analytics Centers of Excellence, Special Interest Groups, and Innovation Centers. Before joining GDIT, Dave was the Director of Salient CRGT’s Data Analytics Innovation Center, where he built self-service data visualization, big data, and predictive analytics offerings. Prior to CRGT, Dave spent 14 years with SRA International, where he led the Data Mining Center of Excellence and Business Intelligence and Analytics Practice that delivered fraud detection solutions to Defense, Intel, Health, and Civil customers. Dave has an extensive background in software development, artificial intelligence, R&D, data mining, text mining, predictive analytics, advanced analytics, and big data.
