Devin Harrison, Project Manager of the National Simulation Learning, Evaluation, Assessment, and Research Network (SimLEARN) Assessment Collaboration and Outreach (ACO) team. Devin earned a BS in Electrical Engineering Technology from South Carolina State University and is recognized as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute. He served as a General Engineer at the VA Hudson Valley Health Care System and Atlanta VA Medical Center. While serving in this role, he managed the project life cycles of Non-Recurring Maintenance (NRM) and Minor construction projects. While at the Atlanta VA Medical Center, Devin also served as the Community Based Outpatient Coordinator (CBOC) and was a part of the team that activated outpatient clinics in Blairsville, Austell, and East Point, GA. Devin became a Diffusion Specialist with the VA Innovation Ecosystem. While in this role, Devin was able to assist in development and expansion of technologies that met the need of the veteran such as the VA Pressure Ulcer Resource (VA PUR) Mobile application and 4 Sight Eye Glass Ordering system. In 2020, he joined SimLEARN as the Simulation Based Healthcare Design Testing Project Manager (SbHDT). SbHDT uses process oriented, simulation-based strategy to identify latent safety threats during pre-construction of clinical and administrative spaces within VHA. Devin has been fortunate to have experience on a diverse range of projects, including mobile application development, software application integration, construction renovation, and construction design. He continues to use his talents to help modernize the VA and enhance Veterans’ experiences.
