Dr. Aaron J. Drew is the Senior Enterprise Solutions Architect in the Office of Information & Technology (OI&T), U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Dr. Drew is concurrently serving as the Technical Director for the Supply Chain Product Line (Health) within the Office of Information & Technology. Previously, Dr. Drew simultaneously served as the Chief Engineer & Chief Architect for the Financial Management Business Transformation Special Program Office (FMBT-SPO) and the Chief Engineer & Chief Architect for the Supply Chain Modernization Program. Prior to joining the SCM Product Line and the FMBT Program, Dr. Drew served multiple roles in support of the Chief Information Officer and the Secretary of the VA. As a Senior IT Advisor, Dr. Drew previously supported three of the SECVA’s 12 Breakthrough Priorities. Dr. Drew also supported the CIO’s Enterprise Cyber Security Team as the Program Manager for the Security Architecture, Engineering & Design Domain (SAED) Team. Finally, Dr. Drew also served as the Chief Engineer and Technical Product Manager for the VistA Evolution Program. As Chief Engineer and Technical Product Manager, Dr. Drew was responsible for designing a robust, scalable, open, and interoperable technical architecture and infrastructure that will both support and enable VistA 4’s clinical functional capabilities. These capabilities would allow the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to meet the modern and future needs of our clinicians and external medical stakeholders who have a vested interested in accessing the Veteran’s electronic medical record information as part of a coordinated care endeavor.
