De Sylva

Dr. Sanji de Sylva is a physician with over 20 years of clinical engagement, informatics and healthcare leadership experience. During his career, he has overseen the implementation of various large-scale clinical information systems as part of healthcare transformation and clinical informatics programs. He has delivered EMR and HIE implementations, clinical business process redesign programs, and clinical engagement/change management initiatives in the Middle East, NZ, Australia and the UK. Dr. de Sylva joined Malaffi in 2018, where during his tenure as the Director of Clinical Informatics and Adoption he was responsible for the clinical design, data standardization and clinical adoption of Malaffi, MENA’s first Health Information Exchange (HIE) platform. In 2022, Dr. de Sylva was appointed VP of Clinical Engagement and Informatics, where as part of the Executive Leadership Team is working with the Department of Health on defining strategies for the digital transformation of healthcare in Abu Dhabi. In his role, Dr. de Sylva is overseeing Malaffi’s Marketing, Clinical Engagement and Informatics Departments. Before joining Malaffi, Dr. de Sylva was the Professional Services Director at Dell Services (EMEA) where he led a team of clinical transformation consultants in deploying an enterprise-wide Electronic Medical Record Solution across 15 hospitals and 25 primary care clinics in the Middle East.
