Mariam Shokralla is a pharmacist by training, a digital health strategist, and a public health specialist currently based in the Netherlands. Mariam recently joined HIMSS as the Digital health strategist EMEA region. Mariam has an MPH and another master’s in leadership and governance in European public health. Mariam has been working with different European organizations in France, Belgium, and Switzerland for WHO on digital health maturity models projects, Mhealth adoption, Policy, and regulatory landscapes of Digital health adoption. Her current expertise is in digital innovation, Health systems strengthening using ICT, Digital Health strategy, Interoperability, Digital Public health, Health policy research, ethical, data governance, and regulatory issues. Before 2019, she has been working to support the Health entrepreneurship ecosystem in Egypt and MENA region through several initiatives. Previously she has been working in medical device and software regulations in Egypt and the USA for 9 years.
