A healthcare professional for more than 36 years, Nancy's experience spans clinical operations, vendor perspective, consulting, and IT operations. Nancy was recognized as the 2019 HIMSS-ANI Nursing Informatics Leader of the Year. Nancy currently serves as the Chief Nurse Executive and Chief Clinical Informatics Officer for Telemetrix. Her past executive experience includes a leading academic health system where she led the clinical systems team to achieve HIMSS 6, HIMSS 7, HIMSS Davies Award, and several innovation partnerships. Her work has included leading clinical technology implementation, strategy and operations. She led the development of an offshore partnership and provided leadership for the clinical systems implementation of a new and fully digital hospital in Manhattan. Nancy was recently appointed to the IHE Board of Directors (Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise). She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, focused on clinical technology adoption with a minor in human factors and design thinking. She received her master’s degree in nursing with an emphasis in Health Systems and Healthcare Informatics and is also board certified in nursing informatics. As a doctoral student, Nancy led a team of design students to win first place in the 2019 Medline Innovation Challenge across multiple universities to redesign patient gowns and surgical masks. The current co-chair of the Alliance of Nursing Informatics (ANI), Nancy is a past co-chair for the Midwest Nursing Research Society-Health Systems, Policy & Informatics research interest group. She has served as the policy co-coordinator for the ANI, and a member of the Nursing Knowledge Big Data workgroup. She has provided systems strategy, configuration, and clinical transformation guidance, as well as collaborative oversight and integration with revenue cycle systems and operations. Her blend of experience has provided a rich background as an executive in healthcare IT.
