Hartman

Shanna Hartman is the Health Standards & Implementation Lead in the Office of Burden Reduction and Health Informatics (OBRHI), Health Informatics and Interoperability Group (HIIG). With background in Nursing Informatics and Health Information Technology (IT) system implementations, her role at CMS brings a mix of standards development, electronic health record reporting, and education and outreach in order to improve clinical outcomes of patients and beneficiaries. She is currently working on interoperability and technology enhancements to improve electronic data exchange. Prior to her role at CMS, Shanna was a Registered Nurse at the University of Maryland R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center and a Nursing Clinical Instructor before finding her passion for nursing informatics.
