What is a Call for Proposals?

The HIMSS Call for Proposals is the yearly request for proposals to be considered for the next HIMSS Global Conference & Exhibition. Members act as peer reviewers for proposals within their area of expertise.

Jointly sponsored by

Postgraduate Institute for Medicine

The Global HIMSS Conference & Exhibition provides world-class education transforming health through information and technology. The Global Conference Education Committee (GCEC), consisting of 16 appointed volunteers from all membership constituencies, carefully designs the program to meet the needs of conference attendees.  Each year, HIMSS Global Conference & Exhibition offers over 200 general education sessions that are selected from a peer-reviewed process. To ensure that the program’s content is timely, relevant, and optimally targeting the attendees’ needs, the GCEC selects from the submissions received during the “Call for Proposals” and may supplement programming by inviting speakers to fill any gaps identified.
