HIMSS Interoperability Showcase
Bringing healthcare thought leaders across our community together.
Transforming health through collaboration
The HIMSS Interoperability Showcase™ highlights how different healthcare systems can work together by sharing data instantly, helping improve care, patient outcomes and the overall healthcare landscape.
Through collaboration with industry leaders, the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase™ curates use cases that address critical and timely topics such as chronic disease management, mental health, human trafficking and immunization management. These educational examples are shown at events both in-person and online, including the HIMSS Global Health Conference & Exhibition, and demonstrate the implementation of standards like HL7® , HL7 FHIR®, IHE profiles, DICOM and DIRECT.

Attendees
Showcase attendees are able to observe the impact these systems have on clinical outcomes, quality and patient experience. Use case demonstrations put solutions in a clinical context, so you can engage in the story of a caregiver, patient or clinician.
You’ll also gain critical knowledge and a deeper understanding of emerging healthcare and health care topics through thought leadership talks. Speakers will provide their perspectives and insights on challenges within the industry and help identify opportunities for improvement. -
Participating organizations
Participants in the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase™ are able to show the value of their solutions by partnering with organizations, including public and non-profit partners, that bring their stories and experiences to life.
You’ll be able to showcase your organization’s thought leadership with technology that exchanges data using interoperability standards (must have proof of validation of associated standards). Your organization will also be able to highlight a project or service and gain broader exposure across the healthcare community.
