All applications must come from the Care Delivery Setting
To be considered for the 2019 HIMSS Davies Award, applicant organizations must have a Stage 7 designation from one of HIMSS Analytics maturity models (Outpatient EMR Adoption Model, Analytics Maturity Model, or Continuity of Care Adoption Model.) Submissions will open on February 1, 2019 and close May 30, 2019. For more information, contact Jonathan French.
Contact Jonathan French at firstname.lastname@example.org for a briefing on the survey and submission process. All applicants must complete a pre-submission discussion before starting the survey. Ambulatory applicants can include single-physician practices, small practices, large ambulatory groups and networks, and integrated care delivery network clinics (only the clinic will win the award, not the full health system). If a health system which also delivers acute care would like to be considered for a Davies Award, they must apply for the Davies Enterprise Award.
TApplicants will submit two use case abstracts by May 30, 2019. Top submissions will receive a site visit.
Use case submissions where all abstracts demonstrate information and technology enabled sustainable improvements in patient outcomes will receive a site visit. During the site visit, the Davies team will review the governance, workflow, and change management processes of the use case to determine if the use cases warrant Davies consideration.
Applicants not selected will receive a detailed analysis of their Abstracts and gain feedback on opportunities for improvement.
During a site visit, applicants will demonstrate three use cases for Enterprise applicants, two use cases for Ambulatory, Community Health, and Public Health applicants, showing how Health IT has enabled improved care outcomes.
Each use case should include:
HIMSS 2019 Ambulatory Davies recipients will be recognized at the 2020 HIMSS Annual Conference and Exhibition.
