Meaningful Use Stage 2 Final Rule

On Friday, August 29, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) for Health IT issued a final rule that offers providers flexibility to meet the meaningful use timeline for 2014 by allowing the use of 2011 Edition certified electronic health record technology (CEHRT), 2014 Edition CEHRT, or a combination of 2011 Edition and 2014 Edition CEHRT for their 2014 reporting year.
