Middle East Community

  • HIMSS Middle East Community for Healthcare Professionals

The HIMSS Middle East Community is an interregional group that mobilizes, supports, and connects health information and technology and other healthcare professionals from Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Jordan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, among other countries in the region.

The community unites healthcare stakeholders from the region, providing them with a suite of tools and knowledge to drive what’s next for health.

    • Connects the Middle East region to global efforts led by HIMSS and its partner organizations.
    • Promotes and nurtures collaboration among all countries to support the road to digital health transformation.
    • Creates momentum for the Middle East to step up as a region that achieves high EMR adoption and capabilities—which are associated with higher levels of patient safety, an increase in overall quality of clinical care, and improved patient and staff satisfaction.
    • Provides members with access to national and international networks of digital health leaders, enabling them to stay up to date on the latest digital innovations in healthcare.
    • Ensures local stakeholders have access to insightful leaders and cutting-edge technology, and that their knowledge-sharing grows as technology and innovation continue to advance and transform how care is delivered.

The community is supported by a steering committee of health transformation thought leaders, as well as strategic partners with access to a broad network of healthcare and health information and technology professionals spanning key markets in the Middle East. The steering committee provides market insights on the status quo, pain points, trends and national eHealth priorities, closing the innovation gap in healthcare in the region.

Be part of our growing community of Middle East healthcare professionals.
