HIMSS invites all health professionals to take action, learn and grow throughout Global Health Equity Week 2024, Nov. 11-15.

Throughout Global Health Equity Week, HIMSS will collaborate with health communities around the world through webinars, publications and in-person events to better understand and address social determinants of health. Together, the HIMSS community can help advance digital health's critical role in improving patient wellness and equitable access.

This year’s efforts focus primarily on patient identification and access; maternal health and quality of care; telehealth and remote monitoring; and tribal and community health.

Here are several ways to take action this week and beyond. In addition to visiting the HIMSS Global Health Equity Week website, be sure to:

• Join the HIMSS Global Health Equity Network and advance health and wellness for everyone
• Write your US government officials at the federal and state level to advance maternal health
• Apply or encourage students to complete a HIMSS Foundation scholarship application to equip students for careers in health information and technology
• Share your health equity story on social media using #HealthEquity and the Global Health Equity Week Toolkit
• Learn and connect by attending health equity webinars and networking events
• Access health equity videos year-round on HIMSS TV

Through education, advocacy and collaboration, healthcare and technology professionals can support the digital health transformation of health systems worldwide, expanding access to healthcare and improving health equity.
