HIMSS Amplifies the Critical Role of Nurses Throughout National Nurses Month 2025

HIMSS recognizes and celebrates ingenuity, dedication and compassion of nurses throughout the health ecosystem, especially during National Nurses Month in May.

HIMSS will be spotlighting exceptional HIMSS members who are nurses, hosting events and discussions to promote workforce development, innovation and nursing thought leadership, and sharing knowledge and resources to promote excellence in nursing.

“Everything that nurses do, your dedication, your compassion, the critical role that you play in healthcare is something that became very clear to me 20-plus years ago when I came into healthcare,” said Hal Wolf, HIMSS President and CEO. “At HIMSS, we’re always talking about the critical role that nurses play in the fundamental transformation of the healthcare system. And, as always, a big shout out to the HIMSS nursing informatics community.”

Throughout the month, HIMSS on social media will also spotlight nurses and host discussions on the current state and the future of the profession. Follow HIMSS on LinkedIn to join the conversation.
