10th Annual Connected Health Conference Leads Conversations on Driving Behavior Change

Connected Health Conference 2018

The 2018 Connected Health Conference (CHC18) brings together the industry's two leading events -- the PCHAlliance Connected Health Conference and the Partners Connected Health Symposium -- to create an unmatched thought leadership experience. Taking place October 17-19 in Boston, this year’s theme will explore balancing technology and the human element and integrating these technologies in healthcare delivery, wellness and daily living.

Wondering what all the buzz will be about at CHC18? Dive into some hot topics below.

Digital Therapeutics

The digital therapeutics market is one to keep on your radar – it’s expected to reach around $9 billion in value by 2025. Mobile apps, wearable sensors and personal health monitoring devices are a few examples of innovative health tech solutions that can be used as a complement, or in some cases an alternative, to traditional drug therapy. As patients become more willing to engage with their personal health through clinically-validated tools, providers can expect to see improved clinical outcomes, better control over cost of care and substantial increases in patient engagement, as digital therapeutics encourage an active role in maintaining personal health outcomes.

This year, CHC18 will feature a brand new Digital Therapeutics Pavilion on the exhibit floor to offer a closer look into digital therapeutics. Attendees will get an exclusive, real-time, interactive experience with connected health tools that are improving disease management and clinical outcomes. The pavilion will showcase up to 24 organizations, product demos and presentations on the exhibit floor.

Mobile and Digital Health Technologies

The use of smartphones has already taken the world by storm, including applications in health and wellness, and there are no signs of it slowing down. While it’s great to see how many steps you take each day or can track your calorie intake through your wearable or smartphone, if you’re not using that data to make healthier lifestyle decisions, your personal health tracker is nothing but a shiny gadget.

In order to address today’s health challenges and find ready-to-implement solutions, the right combination of behavior change, data science, and user-centered design are essential and waiting to be found at CHC18. Learn more about how different players in health IT are working to drive behavior change during the October 17 workshop, Behavioral Science: Moving from Buzz to Impact, as well as deep dive sessions into topics related to social determinants of health and psychology.

Chronic Disease Management

As diabetes and hypertension continue to evolve as leading chronic disease incidences in the U.S., finding new solutions to combat these conditions is essential. CHC18 will offer numerous opportunities for providers to learn about new telehealth strategies and remote monitoring programs with a goal of encouraging patient engagement and participation in their personal health outcomes.

Throughout various sessions, attendees will have opportunities to hear from innovators harnessing the power of patient-generated health data (PGHD) to gain a deeper understanding of the state of the evidence for digital health. Review the full program to learn more
