AHRQ Announces Available Grants to Conduct Health IT Research

On Tuesday, January 3, the Agency for Health Care Research and Quality (AHRQ) announced a new funding opportunity intended for applicants to utilize health information technology to scale and spread successful practice models using patient-reported outcomes. Grant applicants must demonstrate how health IT can improve patient outcomes and improve quality of care in primary care and other ambulatory settings.

Applicants may submit a grant application in three cycles of submissions with the first cycle closing on January 25, 2017 followed by May 25 and September 25. Up to $750,000 for a project will be awarded in any given year, not to exceed three years, or up to $1.5 million for the entire project.
