HIMSS is pleased to recognize Children’s Hospital of Orange County as the first pediatric hospital in North America to be named a Davies Award recipient for the second time.

The Davies Award recognizes the hospital’s work to improve pediatric asthma access, care and outcomes and its use of predictive modeling to customize standardized care plans to reduce hospitalizations for medically complex children.

Children’s Hospital of Orange County has leveraged data and evidence to redesign care processes. In addition to CHOC’s success with its breastmilk administration process, the hospital has scaled best practices to other avenues of infant nutrition, improving care and reducing potential safety events.
