On Tuesday, December 6th, Senate Finance Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-UT), Ranking Member Ron Wyden (D-OR), and co-chairs of the Senate Finance Committee Chronic Care Working Group, Sens. Johnny Isakson (R-GA) and Mark Warner (D-VA) introduced S. 3504, the Creating High-Quality Results and Outcomes Necessary to Improve Chronic (CHRONIC) Care Act of 2016. The bill seeks to modernize Medicare payment policies to improve management of chronic disease, streamline care coordination, and improve quality outcomes. The introduction of the bill follows the release of a discussion draft in late October. The measure is likely to be considered sometime in 2017.
