HIMSS innovation company Personal Connected Health Alliance recently announced that Iyah Romm, co-founder and CEO of Cityblock Health, will join the 2018 Connected Health Conference keynote speaker lineup. Focused on improving health outcomes for low-income individuals across the U.S., Cityblock Health is an innovative venture-backed care delivery company which evolved from Alphabet’s Sidewalk Labs.

Through his previous work at Commonwealth Care Alliance, the Massachusetts Health Policy Commission and several government and health organizations, Romm’s mission to redesign care delivery is centered on the idea that location is a more powerful predictor of individual health outcomes than biological components. Recognizing that low-income patients often face conditions requiring more complex care – such as severe behavioral disorders and physical and developmental disabilities – Romm and his team are rethinking and redesigning care delivery through the deployment of scalable solutions which better serve the needs of this patient population, as well as their care providers.
