HIMSS has partnered with the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) to bring the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase™ to the NACCHO 360 conference taking place July 19-21, 2022, in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Interoperability Showcase™ demonstrates the power of standards-based interoperability by showcasing how multiple stakeholders connect health IT to exchange and use data in real time to improve care, outcomes, health and healthcare. At NACCHO 360, HIMSS has curated several public health-focused demonstrations including Situational Awareness for Novel Epidemic Response (SANER), Maternal Health and Newborn Screening, and Immunization drawing together participants from organizations and vendor solutions including American Immunization Registry Association (AIRA), Altarum, Audacious Inquiry, Amazon Web Services Chexout, eClinicalWorks, Oz Systems, Professional Software for Nurses (PSNI), Shasta Networks, and STC Health.
“HIMSS is proud to partner with NACCHO in presenting these important demonstrations that are critical in the public health setting – especially at a time of an ongoing public health emergency which exposed major disparities in health and access to healthcare, particularly for women’s health services,” said Christina Caraballo, Vice President, Informatics, HIMSS.
Since its inception, NACCHO has sought to improve public health while adhering to a set of core values: equity, excellence, participation, respect, integrity, leadership, science & innovation. The theme of the 2022 NACCHO 360 Conference, “Looking to the Future: Reshaping the Public Health System,” will explore how the local public health workforce and its stakeholders can move forward in the midst of an ongoing crisis while implementing traditional and innovative approaches to restructure a system built to protect the health of communities nationwide.
