HIMSS Issues Call to Action In Support of CONNECT for Health Act of 2017

Your action is needed.

In May, a bipartisan group of Senators and Representatives reintroduced the “Creating Opportunities Now for Necessary and Effective Care Technologies (CONNECT) for Health Act of 2017” (S. 1016 and H.R. 2556). The legislation, which is an updated version of the CONNECT for Health Act that was first introduced in the 114th Congress, seeks to modernize healthcare delivery for Medicare beneficiaries by removing barriers to the use of telehealth and other healthcare technologies, including remote patient monitoring (RPM). HIMSS, along with over 50 other stakeholder organizations, officially endorsed the legislation when it was introduced.

While the bill continues to have strong support both on and off Capitol Hill, it still faces an uphill battle to becoming law. We need your help to continue building support.

Please take action by visiting the HIMSS Legislative Action Center today to send a letter to your Senators and Representatives, asking them to cosponsor this important bipartisan legislation and help to ensure these critical reforms are enacted into law.
