  • promoting patient safety

"The application of modern technologies is an essential factor required for the advancement of nursing,"" said Angela Velkova, Director of Communities and Strategic Relations, EMEA at HIMSS.
"Empowering the confidence of nurses and midwifes by connecting the digital dots to enhance care and experience, in a collaborative, multi-faceted way will directly translate in improved delivery of care.

“It is an opportunity for these networks from different areas, from social care, primary care, maternity acute care, mental health, to come together, to share learning, to talk to each other.¨ said Caron Swinscoe, Chief Nurse and Clinical Informatics Professional Lead, NHS Digital. “We can put our arms around these networks and give them an environment where they can flourish and start to take it to the next level.”

This initiative falls within the framework of the HIMSS Nursing Informatics Community in Europe and is the first local representation of its kind.
