I’ve been at HIMSS since November 2017.
To realize HIMSS mission of better health for all, it takes new ideas, fresh perspectives, shared experiences of success and failure and the continued dialogue and engagement of those across the health ecosystem. Events, both digital and in person, provide a powerful platform for individual health stakeholders to unite together and tackle some of the most pressing health challenges. As an event marketing leader, my team’s goal is to reach out to healthcare professionals and translate the value of coming together at a point in time to share what’s working and what needs to be done to provide better care for patients everywhere.
Our team gets to see firsthand how attendees engage and interact with one another. Attendees often tell us directly during an event how much they have learned or connected with others who have similar challenges or inspired them to try something new.
The excitement of walking into a full event and knowing that my team was directly responsible for reaching each attendee through our marketing programs, and convinced them to take time away from their busy schedules to show up and learn from each other — it doesn’t get better than that!
