I have been with HIMSS 16 years.
The people HIMSS serves have a necessary and worthwhile responsibility to transform health—and we share that responsibility with them. I am fortunate to lead a team whose work is to empower our audiences with information about the opportunities available to learn about, act on and implement HIMSS resources that help them in this massive endeavor.
We’ve increased, and continue to do so, the visibility of the HIMSS brand, and we’ve positioned HIMSS as a global voice, advisor and thought leader of health transformation through health information and technology, with a unique breadth and depth of expertise and capabilities to advance the quality, safety and efficiency of health, care and outcomes. During my 16 years, I have seen tremendous growth in membership, global conference and other event attendance and also in networking, partnerships, advocacy and audience involvement in HIMSS initiative activities.
I wish everyone knew how dedicated my team is to their work and how seriously they take the responsibility they are charged with. They are all very passionate about how HIMSS is perceived in the world!
