NH-ISAC and MDISS Sign Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with FDA Around Collaboration of Medical Device Cybersecurity

The Medical Device Manufacturer community has realized its need to be more proactive by creating greater resiliency to cyber threats. A shared interest and collaboration in encouraging the identification, mitigation, and prevention of cybersecurity threats to medical devices fostered an MOU between NH-ISAC, MDISS and FDA.  A key goal of the MOU supports the expansion of the fully inclusive stakeholder community to expand the collaborative tools for hospitals and manufacturers to help develop and propagate best practices; train and educate; and collect public health data.

HHS- ONC/ASPR Awards Cooperative Agreement to NH-ISAC

Small and Rural Healthcare delivery sites across the country practice outside the safe reach of secure hospital networks. They possess scant expertise or resources to battle the threats from global cyber criminals. In an effort to stretch the fabric of cyber resiliency across the Healthcare ecosphere, HHS sought an organization to answer this call.

To meet this need, The National Health Information Sharing and Analysis Center, (NH-ISAC), has been awarded cooperative agreements from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) totaling $350,000. These agreements are intended to strengthen the ability of health care and public health sector partners (HPH) to understand and respond to cybersecurity threats.
