NHIT Week Goes Regional with Events Across the Country

Thought leaders from the nation's most renowned and progressive healthcare organizations are coming together for NHIT Week 2016.  Held this week, Sept. 26-30, regional events across the country will help raise awareness and assemble key healthcare constituents to elevate the necessity of advancing health through the best use of information technology.

Regional events include:

Texas Health IT Advocacy Day

When:  September 26, 9 am – 3pm

Where:  Dallas, TX - Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, Fogelson Forum

Theme & Agenda:  Digital Health, Population Health and Analytics

  • Recognition of the Davies Award Program and coordination with the Federal Health Community to hold a site visit with a Stage 7 Hospital
  • Recognition of state legislators, state officials

Western Regional Event

When: September 26, 9 am – 3 pm

Where:  Davis, CA – UC Davis Campus

Theme & Agenda:  Telehealth and Interoperability Across the Spectrum of Care

  • Site visit at the University of California, Davis
  • Education and advocacy training virtually and onsite at UC Davis

UC Davis will be honored for itsr prior Davies award and have a panel/Q&A session on how they’re doing now.

National Capitol Area Event

When:  September 28, 5:30  – 7:30 pm

Where:  Washington, DC

Theme & Agenda:  Reception ceremony to honor federal, state and congressional officials working in health IT.
