Seeking Members for HIE Task Forces and Work Groups

The HIMSS HIE Committee is seeking members to join a number of their task forces and work groups, including:

 

HIE Communications Task Force. This task force will develop and implement communication strategies using social media and other communication methods to support key HIE events, resources and healthcare professionals. The first call will be held on Oct. 3.

 

Ambulatory HIE Toolkit Work Group. This work group will be responsible for the creation of new tools and resources to guide ambulatory and physician practices in the understanding, assessment and utilization of HIE services through participation in an HIE organization, along with resources on the use of DIRECT. The first call will be held on Sept. 12.

 

Enterprise HIE Toolkit Task Force. This task force will be responsible for the creation of new tools and resources to help guide hospital and IDS leaders in the understanding, assessment and implementation of HIE services to support their organization and their participants. The first call will be held on Sept. 13.

 

HIE Toolkit Task Force. This task force will focus on the development of impactful tools for the HIMSS HIE Toolkit, focusing on Meaningful Use and information exchange, business and sustainability, technical architecture strategies, and other areas of importance for HIOs/HIEs. The first call was held in August; the next call will be held on Sept. 20.

 

Public Comment Work Group. One of the many activities here at HIMSS is responding to public comment requests on many different HIT/HIE topics within the industry. We are currently identifying volunteers who would like to participate in HIE-related public comment periods over the next fiscal year.
