Bruce Gray is chief information officer for HIMSS, a global advisor and thought leader supporting the transformation of the health ecosystem through information and technology. In this role, he is responsible for business analysis, project management, marketing automation, corporate analytics, UI/UX, digital development, business application management, infrastructure and security. His focus is on building relationships with function leaders, acting as their consultative partner in providing technical vision, execution, and leadership. He collaborates with HIMSS leaders to support achievement of enterprise goals through the creation and efficient use of technology.
Gray has more than 25 years of experience building, analyzing and managing information and technology in organizations to deliver bottom-line results. He is accomplished in IT strategy, architecture, application development, infrastructure, program/project management, and organization design.
Gray previously served as divisional vice president, customer engagement/finance & actuarial systems for Health Care Services Corporation, where he facilitated strategic business partnerships to align IT services with business priorities and capabilities by overseeing execution of key portfolio functions throughout the delivery lifecycle from strategy definition, planning, demand / change management. He was accountable for the successful delivery of multi-year programs within the customer services division for the organization.
Gray holds an MBA in management information systems from State University of New York at Buffalo and a BS in industrial and operations engineering from the University of Michigan. He is a youth lacrosse and football coach and an avid obstacle course racer in Spartan Race and Bonefrog.
