Stefanie is a social entrepreneur that has a bachelor's degree in Social Work and a master's degree in European Comparative Social Studies. Diagnosed with a stadium 4 Cervical Cancer at the age of 26 she was a young adolescent (AYA) cancer patient. After her treatment, she decided to make a big career shift and inspire others with her story. She worked with the Flemish Cancer League and is running her own social enterprise 'The Big C.' that is all about health awareness, advocacy and empowerment. As a motivational speaker, storyteller and incubator for innovative projects in the healthcare she is promoting patient-driven-innovation and human-centered-design-thinking.
