For over a decade, HIMSS Maturity Models have offered healthcare organizations strategic pathways that advance key areas of provider maturity like infrastructure, analytics, coordination of care and clinical documentation. Receiving a Stage 7 validation on a HIMSS Maturity Model is a global symbol of an organization’s dedication to digital transformation in healthcare.

HIMSS Adoption Model for Analytics Maturity

The HIMSS Adoption Model for Analytics Maturity (AMAM) is designed to measure and advance an organization’s analytics capabilities. Introduced in 2016, this international eight-stage (0–7) model measures the capabilities an organization has gained from installation of technology and surrounding processes. HIMSS Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model

The HIMSS Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (EMRAM) incorporates methodology and algorithms to score hospitals around the world relative to their electronic medical record (EMR) capabilities. HIMSS Outpatient Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model

The HIMSS Outpatient Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (O-EMRAM) incorporates methodology and algorithms to score clinics on the maturity of their EMR environments. This eight-stage (0–7) model tests for clinician documentation, including orders, e-prescribing, patient engagement and population health analytics.

O-EMRAM is intended for clinics where there is an encounter between a caregiver and a patient, and the caregiver is licensed to assess, diagnose, treat, prescribe, and generate orders and documentation. The O-EMRAM tests for clinician documentation, including orders, e-prescribing, patient engagement and population health analytics. See what it takes to achieve O-EMRAM Stage 7 validation.
