Society Launches New Multimedia

The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) introduces, the new media presence launched by the Society.

This multimedia site offers HIMSS Members, and any healthcare professional, access to educational videos on the healthcare IT industry; interviews with industry experts and leaders; conference highlights; and much more. The site provides high-quality, informative, multimedia presentations from some of the brightest and most innovative leaders in the industry. The site is updated weekly.

Current videos include the HIMSS09 Year-in-Review, interviews with members of the HIMSS Board of Directors and the HIMSS09 Opening Video. In addition, the current videos feature interviews with HIMSS Members discussing the value of HIMSS membership, as well as the need for clinical information systems as part of an electronic medical record and the challenges of transitioning from patient care to full-time nursing informatics.
