One hundred and fifteen Americans die each day from an opioid-related drug overdose. HIMSS recognizes the opioid epidemic requires urgent attention and that health information and technology play a critical role in combatting this crisis.
HIMSS State Government and Federal Affairs teams will host the first of a series of three webinars on “Leveraging Health Information and Technology to mitigate the Opioid Crisis: Policy Landscape and Steps Forward” on Monday, June 4th from 1:00 – 2:00pm EDT. HIMSS recognizes the role health information and technology plays in combatting this urgent public health crisis. The first webinar serves as an overview of the opioid crisis and the role health information and technology plays at the state and federal levels in response.
Governor Jim Geringer, Former Governor Wyoming, and co-chair of the HIMSS State Advisory Roundtable will moderate this webinar. Featured speakers include:
