Cybersecurity Masterclass

The COVID-19 pandemic has prompted health systems to rapidly adjust their processes and workflows. Among other things this has included fast-tracking technology deployments, increasing the number of telehealth consultations, and encouraging employees to work remotely - all of which have opened new doors for hackers. As a result, the number of cyberattacks on health systems around the world dramatically increased during the pandemic. The current crisis in Ukraine is now also exposing health systems in Europe. Disrupted workflows have exposed providers to numerous cybersecurity challenges and threats. In this masterclass, international cybersecurity experts will convene to examine how care organisations have had to update their security strategies to maintain continuity of care while protecting information systems against an increasing number of threats. The experts will also discuss the necessity for these new privacy precautions and security standards to become the new norm.
