Driving Innovation - What Is a Healthy Dose of Disruption?

Although nobody asks for a global health crisis like COVID-19 - the ensuing disruption has become a catalyst for major digital transformations. The silver lining of the coronavirus cloud is the rapid explosion of technological innovation that has seen healthcare systems deliver  years of change in a matter of months. At the same time, disruption should not be the end-goal of innovation and digital transformation. So the question is: what is a healthy dose of disruption? Drawing on international experiences from Saudi Arabia and the Nordics, this session will explore how we can leverage this healthy dose to drive innovation in care delivery and personal wellbeing; from both the provider and patient perspectives. Furthermore, speakers will focus on how game-changing collaborations between the public and private healthcare sectors are driving significant transformation in new business models of care, bridging the gap between industries.

Learning objectives:

  • Learn from renowned international experts about the role of innovation and disruption in digital health

  • Understand the importance of driving healthcare innovation through information and technology

  • Examine the process changes needed within the larger healthcare organisations to drive significant digital transformation in new business models of care
