IT security and data privacy will remain top priorities in 2021 and beyond. If any proof was needed that no area of healthcare is immune to the threat of security breaches, the pandemic provided an abundance of it. Fast-tracked technology implementations, the increased number of employees working remotely, and the explosion of telehealth solution deployments have opened new doors for hackers. As a result, the number of cyberattacks on health systems around the world has dramatically increased during the pandemic. Cyber hygiene and incidence response preparedness are more crucial today than ever.
