IT security and data privacy will remain top priorities in 2021 and beyond. If any proof was needed that no area of healthcare is immune to the threat of security breaches, the pandemic provided an abundance of it. Fast-tracked technology implementations, the increased number of employees working remotely, and the explosion of telehealth solution deployments have opened new doors for hackers. As a result, the number of cyberattacks on health systems around the world has dramatically increased during the pandemic. Cyber hygiene and incidence response preparedness are more crucial today than ever. In this session, health and cybersecurity leaders will discuss technology, strategy and governance to address this increased number of threats and secure data for maximum fluidity beyond Covid-19. The HIMSS Italian Community will also share how the recently published ¨ENISA¨ guidelines, best practices and actionable advice can be leveraged to increase the protection of providers and patients alike.
