Nurses 2.0 - Session 2

This session will focus on approaches to the challenge of creating a digitally aware and confident nursing and midwifery workforce, emphasising leadership and career pathways as a key factor in pushing the topic across the healthcare system. 
We will hear from various nursing leaders and examine solutions implemented and envisioned by European countries, and how to plan for successful digital engagement across the sectors to achieve an integrated and committed workforce ready for the digital era of healthcare. 
The second half of the session will feature a dynamic demo of five nursing related healthcare apps, which offer creative and solution-based approaches to improving nursing process and patient care.

Learning Objectives:

  • Examine the elements required to deliver digital transformation within a workforce, including digital literacy and readiness.
  • Analyse the role effective leadership has to play in workforce development.
  • Identify the gaps currently slowing down the advancement of nursing informatics within health systems.
