ONC Publishes Quality Improvement Vision Paper
The paper will illustrate ONC’s ten-year vision for advancing health IT capabilities in a manner that will combine, at a minimum, both clinical decision support (CDS) and clinical quality measurement (CQM) to achieve an interoperable health IT infrastructure.

ONC Rolls Out Innovation Initiatives and Commitments
The Market R&D Pilot Challenge will “call on health innovators to pair with host sites, such as hospitals, clinics, laboratories, or pharmacies to develop a pilot proposal. The program will select up to six teams to implement the pilot, conduct a rigorous evaluation, and disseminate its findings in collaboration with ONC.”

IOM issues Study on EHR Inclusion of Socioeconomic Data
On Thursday, November 13, the Institute of Medicine (IOM) released a study that included researchers from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Blue Shield of California Foundation, the California Healthcare Foundation, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and a host of federal agencies.
