Take Action: Ask Your Members of Congress to Cosponsor the CONNECT for Health Act
We urge you to contact your Senators and Representatives quickly and easily through the HIMSS Legislative Action Center requesting that they cosponsor the CONNECT for Health Act of 2017.

Busy Week for Veterans Affairs Health IT on Capitol Hill
The VA must provide Congress with a detailed overview of its solicitation of Cerner to develop its new EHR system, how the new system would be interoperable with the DoD and the private sector systems, a strategic plan for implantation of the new EHR, and how it would maintain the existing VistA system during implantation.

Report Finds Electronic Health Record Incentive Payments Went to Noncompliant Providers
The Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) found that the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) had made Electronic Health Record (EHR) incentive payments to providers who did not meet Meaningful Use requirements for those payments.
