New HIMSS Partnership Seeks Tech Solutions for Infant Mortality Crisis

Among health disparities in America, infant mortality is one of the most devastating. Compared to similar wealthy nations, U.S. babies are three times more likely to die from prematurity and 2.3 times more likely to experience sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). The HIMSS Innovation & Conference Center is joining forces with the Cleveland Foundation and OurHealthyCommunity.com on August 24, 2018 to present Battle for Our Babies, a conference that will explore the facts and current resources and programs in Ohio, where black babies die at nearly three times the rate of white babies. The goal is to identify what's missing and issue a challenge to tech developers — with a first-place $10K prize.

Wine Down Wednesdays Summer Series

We all want to keep up with new ideas at the intersection of healthcare and technology. But we don't always have the time or energy to do it. That's why we came up with the Wine Down Wednesdays Summer Series at the HIMSS Innovation & Conference Center.
